Book Covers

Some paintings and photographs have been used as covers for books.  Here are some.

The Scent of Light is a collection of five books by Kristjana Gunnars published over a ten year period, starting in 1998.  The volume was edited and introduced by poet Kazim Ali and the book was published in 2022 by Coach House Books in Toronto, Ontario, Canada.  The painting "soft bouquet" from the "whispers" series is the cover image.  Cover design by Natalie Olsen, Kisscut Design.

Ruins of the Heart is a book of poetry by Kristjana Gunnars, published in 2022 by Angelico Press in New York, U.S.A.  The painting on the cover is "the slow passage of sunshine" from the "Contemplative" series.  Cover design is by Michael Schrauzer.

112th Street Notebook is a chapbook of poems by Kristjana Gunnars published in 2022 by Akinoga Press in Baltimore, Maryland.  The cover art is a watercolour painting from a series titled "paper lanterns."  Cover design is by mychael zulauf.
